Safeway....Round 2

I had so much fun shopping at Safeway this afternoon, that I HAD to go back for round 2.

I waited for Ben to come home so he could share in on the fun.

I was bragging the entire way to the store that I was going to buy groceries without spending any money.................

Long story short I FAILED

boy was there egg on my face.

I bought:

4 boxes of General mills cereal ($1.50 when you buy 4)

4 packages of Nut Clusters ($1.50 when you buy 4)

2 two gallons of milk ($1.99 when you buy 2)

1 1/2 gallon chocolate milk $1.99

2 Yoplait Fiber Plus Yogurt (2/$4)

3 Nabisco crackers ($2 ea)

I used:

A ton of ecoupons ( I had multiple coupons saved to my card)

I have been so busy today preparing for the coupon class, I think I sat at my desk for 3 hours straight.....the sun is shinning and I am starting to go stir crazy, so what's a girl to do?

I loaded up Jace and headed to Safeway to relax and de-stress from my busy day.

(I know some people would enjoy a nice walk, a soak in a bubble bath or even a massage)

My pasta sauce overstock was down to the last 2 so I was on the hunt for a good stock up deal.

Denny's

I took the kids to Denny's this morning to score our FREE Grand Slams!

I was so excited when I pulled into the parking lot to find there were NO lines. Last year The lines wrapped around the building. If you weren't able to make it this morning you still have time, it's valid until 2pm.

On a side note, while I was there I saw a LOT of people NOT tipping or leaving just a buck!?!?!

This is such a busy day (last year 2 million people took advantage of this promo) the waiters are running around taking care of everyone...............

What a slap in the face not to be tipped when you just received a FREE meal.

So just a friendly reminder to tip the pre discount amount ;)

Super Bowl

Today is a very busy day in our house, It's Super Bowl!!

Like every year, we woke up early put on our football jerseys and started counting down until kick off.

This year is exciting for Ben, he bought a 50 in Plasma Flat screen (yes we did have a coupon and saved $535!!) and high def television (if I can be completely honest I have a hard time seeing the difference but Ben swears by it).

We are hosting a party this year so I have been busy in the kitchen making goodies.

I have been planning this for a while now and was able to stock pile party foods for the last couple of months.

We are serving:

Beerdogs,

little smokies,

(Nancy's) famouse potato saled,

homemade salsa and chips

cupcakes

and

my famous football brownies.

The only thing we had to buy OOP were the hotdog buns, but I scored a great deal at the Franze outlet.
