Safeway....Round 2

I had so much fun shopping at Safeway this afternoon, that I HAD to go back for round 2.
I waited for Ben to come home so he could share in on the fun.
I was bragging the entire way to the store that I was going to buy groceries without spending any money.................
Long story short I FAILED
boy was there egg on my face.
I bought:
4 boxes of General mills cereal ($1.50 when you buy 4)
4 packages of Nut Clusters ($1.50 when you buy 4)
2 two gallons of milk ($1.99 when you buy 2)
1 1/2 gallon chocolate milk $1.99
2 Yoplait Fiber Plus Yogurt (2/$4)
3 Nabisco crackers ($2 ea)
I used:
A ton of ecoupons ( I had multiple coupons saved to my card)
4 Safeway doubles
2 $.50 Yoplait Fiber Plus coupons
1 Free chocolate milk Internet Printable
3 $1 Nabisco coupons
3 Safeway Nabisco coupons
2 $1 Nut Clusters coupons
2 $1 Trix Printable coupons
2 $.55 Chex coupons
My total OOP was....................$1.03
See what I mean, egg on my face., I tried so hard but somewhere my calcalations were off :(

I,m just being silly, I will take $1.03 any day, but maybe next time I will tell Ben I can do it for under $2 bucks

Can you have an e-coupon and a manufactures coupon for the same item?? Like the Granola nut clusters-I had the manufactures coupon that I printed for $1.00 but did not have the e-coupon loaded to my Safeway card. Could I have saved an additional dollar if I had done so? Is that thru cellfire? And could I still have used the .$50 double??

Steve,
Yes you can stack ecoupons with manufacture coupons. You can also use multiple ecoupons for the same item, for example, if both Cellfire and Shortcuts offered the nut cluster ecoupon you can save both to your card and use them for 1 item along with your manufacture coupon. You can use a double, but most of the time IP coupons say "do not double". So yes you could have saved money :)

I bought similar items on my trip to Safeway and was so excited to have used e-coupons for the first time. Paired w/ manufacturers coupons I was making money on my other items.

Thanks!

Thank you for your help regarding cellfire. I tried it today on the Betty Crocker cookie pouches on sale at Safeway for $.99 each.
Bought 4 for $3.96, minus 4 $.40 manufacturers coupons, 4 $.40 Safeway doubles, and a $.40 cellfire. That brought the cost down to 36 cents, or 9 cents apiece.
Just one more question-will that cellfire coupon work again if I try the exact same transaction tomorrow??
Thanks--Steve

Steve,
Once you use an ecoupon it is gone forever.

Steve,
Sign up for an additional club card so you can run the deal twice. You will need a second email address.
